A Duke University study of 70-year-olds and 30-year-olds found that 70-year-olds had greater reported happiness. This went counter to the expectations of both groups.
A Brown University studied showed that older adults find more satisfaction in everyday pleasures and ordinary experiences. This may be the reason for greater happiness at older ages. Let’s all give that a try today—enjoy all the “little things” we experience today.
