The Yin and Yang of Thriving

Wellness is a yin-yang thing. It’s a balance. A balance of putting energy out with taking energy in.

You put energy out when you:

1. Work
2. Commute
3. Do chores
4. Workout
5. Worry

You take energy in when you:

1. Sleep
2. Rest
3. Nap
4. Play

Your body literally breaks down tissue when you put energy out and your body literally builds tissue when you take energy in. To thrive as a person, aim to balance your energy output with your energy input. This New York Times article sheds some light on this concept. Enjoy.
